History:
The Arts Education Funders Collaborative (AEFC has provided more than $3.3 million in support fro arts education n the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). This broad effort has included professional development for teachers, grants to schools, a free print and on-line guide to local arts education opportunities called Inside/Out, receptions for district leadership and publications highlighting key strategies for providing quality arts education. These programs and activities have resulted in reaching every elementary school and child development center in SFUSD.
Inside/Out: A Guide to Arts and Arts Education Resources for Children & Teens in San Francisco is a publication of the Arts Education Funders Collaborative, with an online companion. It is the most comprehensive directory of arts education programs and services that support San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) classrooms, youth-focused fairs and festivals, cultural centers with education programs, and a variety of resources including addresses of all public schools and libraries in the district, advocacy organizations, government funding agencies, discounted art supplies and more.
