MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue

MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue saves homeless domestic pigeons and doves in the SF/Bay Area from euthanasia by providing veterinary care, foster and forever homes.  Prior to MickaCoo, hundreds of domestic (unreleasable) pigeons and doves were routinely euthanized in animal shelters throughout the SF/Bay Area despite their viability and pet-potential because shelters can't even keep up with all the puppies and kittens, let alone find homes for pigeons and doves.  MickaCoo was created in response to this gap in animal rescue service. Through volunteer development, community outreach and humane education efforts' on the birds' behalf, MickaCoo has succeeded in creating a life-saving system of rescue and placement for domestic pigeons and doves that cannot be released into the wild and would otherwise be euthanized (more than 500 since 2007).  MickaCoo creates compassion and saves lives.
