Global Room [insert text]
In an effort to shine the spotlight on the children of the City, Byzantium, led by co-founders Steven Mavromihalis and Gilbert Fleitas have created this unique, multi-day fund-raising project. A mix of child advocacy organizations and schools have been invited to present 15 carefully selected pieces of art showing San Francisco through their eyes. All of the children will be posed the following questions; “If you close your eyes and think of San Francisco, what do you see? Can you draw it?” These questions will be widely publicized and will not only allow the public to easily interpret the childrens’ vision, but also to witness the effects of diverse social and economic backgrounds.
