Youth Spirit ArtWorks
Youth Spirit ArtWorks is a new interfaith youth art jobs training program modeled after New Orlean’s highly successful YaYa youth furniture painting arts enterprise. We recycle old furniture and involve youth in transforming this into art for sale.
The mission of Youth Spirit Artworks (YSA) is to use art to empower and transform the lives of homeless and at-risk youth giving youth the experience, training and self confidence needed to meet their full potential. YSA carries out its mission through involving young people as leaders in commercial arts furniture painting and other arts ventures, in public art-making and social change activities, and in teaching after-school arts programs to younger kids.
